In this notes the focus will be on color of props in Pirandello’s early theatrical works, and their role in the actions of characters. While a green wool blanket evokes on the stage Nature as an escape route from reality, a green lamp shade, which appears in various Pirandello's texts and also in Pirandello's portrait painted by his son Fausto in 1933, suggests a digression on the relationship between fathers and sons inside and outside the stage.
